Australian FreeBSD mirrors

There are three different kind of mirrors: WWW, FTP and CVSUP mirrors.

Note that there are other valid WWW/FTP/CVSup au.freebsd.org DNS records but all duplicate one of the sites below.

The following WWW mirrors are available

• http://www.au.freebsd.org (Net Leader)
• http://www2.au.freebsd.org (Riverwillow)

The following FTP mirrors are available. Note that as of 2007-Nov-10, none of these sites are complete, up-to-date mirrors. See Australian FTP mirrors status for a list of FTP sites and their status.

• ftp://ftp.au.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD (AARNET)
• ftp://ftp2.au.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD (Pacific Internet, no packages and snapshots)
• ftp://ftp3.au.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD (Internode)
• ftp://ftp4.au.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD (Planet Mirror)

On 22-Aug-2008 dead CVSup mirrors were culled from DNS. At the moment, all au.freebsd.org CVSup alias names point to a single CVSup mirror. Volunteers to help balance the load are welcome!
